Maybe it's just me but I find it concerning that people can just purchase a device that plugs into their car to enable self-driving with only a forward-facing phone-quality camera. I know the stock OS is "Lane Centering" and "Adaptive cruise" but there's a whole community of people putting custom firmware on there (OpenPilot/Sunnypilot/Frogpilot), and anyone who can code could disable the safety "attention" features. This idiot fell asleep at the wheel for over an hour https://www.reddit.com/r/Comma_ai/comments/onx1a7/have_been_...

Call me a luddite but there should be more oversight on this tech

It's not just the camera, it also uses the sensors built into your car. LFor example, if your car already has adaptive cruise, the Comma device will use those sensors to power its own adaptive cruise features.
