  You can do that with Google's NotebookLM. Upload docs, ask questions where the answers are strictly referenced to the docs. I used it for "where does it say that" and other types of questions about ISO technical standards, traffic codes and other documents.

    sure yeah, this is for non-technical crowd as well, they can just paste a doc and find out if it has an answer to their question.

  I tested it on a short piece of my own writing. It’s helpful to see the exact lines highlighted instead of a summary.

    yeah, that's my main use case as well. Just wanted to view the answer (if it exists) to the question without an AI summarizing it.

    it would say it isn't able to find a match in any of the passages for your question.
